Welcome to The Shanty! Nestled in cozy downtown Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, The Sewing Shanty provides all of your yarn, craft, quilting, and sewing needs. Specializing in quality service and community awarness, The Sewing Shanty strives to provide a comfortable and casual shopping experience.
All ages and skill levels welcomed!
Current hours of operation: Tuesday & Thursday 12pm-5pm Wednesday & Friday & Saturday 10am-5pm. Special arrangements can be made for off hours, please call: (570) 372-1922
Have a project in progress? Debbie welcomes all customers back with their current works in progress or a finished project for show and tell!
Finished a project from the shop and want to see it featured online? Just bring it by the Shanty and ask Debbie for more details.
Classes: The Sewing Shanty offers a unique way of teaching. Due to busy life styles, the shop allows you to come in with your sewing machine (or rent one for your project from the store) or other projects. You pick the project, pay $5.00, for each project and purchase at least half of the materials needed for your project. If you or a group of friends would like to come in during off hours, there is a pre-paid fee of $25.00 (non-refundable without 48 hours notice).
Perhaps you have noticed a little red wagon in the store. It is used to go to demonstrations and classes outside of the shop- perfect for a church or classroom. Contact me today to arrange a program or class for your group!
